How does this plate anchor into the dirt?
It uses a ground sleeve system. You bury the included anchor sleeve in the infield, and the plate drops securely into it.
Will metal cleats chew up the edges of this plate?
The hard rubber construction is molded to take heavy abuse from metal spikes without tearing or wearing down prematurely.
Does this plate sit flush with the dirt?
Yes. When installed correctly in the ground sleeve, the beveled edges sit flush with the infield dirt to prevent cleats from catching during slides.
Do I need to remove the plate to drag the infield?
You can drag over it if you adjust your equipment. Since it uses a drop-in ground sleeve, you can also quickly pull the plate out before doing heavy tractor work.
Can I leave this plate installed during the off-season?
Yes. The hard rubber construction is fully weather-resistant and holds up to the elements year-round.
